In chapter 3 of our book Public Relations: Strategies and Tactics (9th Edition) ethics of a PR professional were discussed.

  • Ethics is the way each person identifies what is right and what is wrong

There are 3 ethical orientations:

  1. The Absolutist- either right or wrong there is no middle ground
  2. The Existentialist- decision made on immediate practical choice
  3. The Situationalist- decision depends upon what will do most good and least harm
